Coming fall of 2022, Moss Walls will have a limited supply of a new line of lightweight and easy to install live moss mats for exterior walls and rain screens
Our low-maintenance living exterior rain screen system features moss grown on a capillary water retention mat that is backed with a masonry backer panel to form the first and only living exterior cladding/rainscreen system.
Available in 48” wide rolls, with an installed cost of around 1/4 the price of traditional living plant walls, our moss wall system will protect exterior walls, insulate/cool buildings, all while cleansing, oxygenating, and cooling surrounding air. Not to mention the stunning visuals (ask about our wash lights for illuminating your wall at night) We ship the pre-inoculated moss mat system and all other materials are readily sourced locally. A timer and a soaker hose system are required for proper moisture..
The various species of mosses utilized will thrive in sun or shade and can freeze and go dormant during winter and still survive (we strongly recommend protect shade cloth for northern climates to prevent desiccation from sun and wind during winter months in northern climates).
